FOOD! Oh goodness, this truly is the way to any person’s heart. I was elated to finally be in Nairobi during the annual Nairobi Restaurant Week organized by Eat Out Kenya Studying in a different town for four years really made me miss out on things.
Luckily, the good old chaps at Eat Out Kenya gave me a dinner voucher for two after winning a competition they were running on social media. It was then my duty to take my dear friend Sheila who is a foodie, and our hungry tummies to seek fulfillment at The Steak Out.

The restaurant is located on 102 Manyani East Road in Lavington. It is right after ABC Place, Westlands. Getting in, we felt a sense of comfort. The space looks like it was formerly a house and the setting is really pretty.
We were well welcomed by the manager and shown to our table. A lovely lady called Mercy served us through the night. I liked the options they had for their #NRW2017 menu
For the starter, I had the hearty vegetable soup of the day. The margarine felt like it had a secret ingredient because it tasted so sweet with the bun. Maybe my taste buds were just hallucinating.
After that, I had the succulent mini steak served with mashed potatoes, french beans & sugar snaps and mushroom sauce. I had never had steak before (shocking I know) and this was a really great way to start! I loved it
For dessert, both Sheila and I had the passion fruit cheese cake. I hate pizza because of cheese but wanted to see how the cheese cake would taste. I was not disappointed at all.

The service was great and so was the ambiance. I honestly wish I had found out about it sooner. It has been operational for about a year now and you should definitely check them out. Call them on +254 726 211 443 to reserve your table and also check them out on Facebook You won’t regret it
* A big thanks again to Eat Out Kenya for the dinner voucher. I will now be eating out way more often!
