5 Reasons to Visit K1 Flea Market

K1 blog title

Sunday funday, better than a Monday! A Sunday well spent brings a week of content. Sundays after church are often spent sleeping, lazying away and getting over the Monday blues as they settle in. Why not start your week with a pump by going to the K1 flea market? I was there last week with my main Sheila, (who took most of these photos by the way) and these are my top 5 reasons why you have to go there too

1. Retail therapy

Time for shopping! The whole point of a flea market is for vendors and customers to meet. There are so many products on sale. Vendors were selling clothes, jewellery, shoes, handbags, chilli, natural oils, headwraps and so many other items. I got myself two lovely outfits, green tea from Diani & Coco and a lovely greeting card from Malkia Lush.

2.  All day brunch

Menu

You’d better get here on an empty stomach! K1 has an all day brunch from 10 a.m – 6 p.m. Happy hour is also from 4 p.m – 7 p.m.  Last week the brunch menu consisted of yoghurt parfait, waffles with crispy chicken wings, mahamri with mbaazi and… Let me just leave it there before you get hunger pangs.

3. The picturesque venue

4. The people

The ambience at K1 was just buzzing with good vibes. Everybody was really friendly. We interacted with a lot of people!

5.  The live band

The live band was so interactive with the crowd. Some of us couldn’t help ourselves and got up to dance and jam. AfroSync Band brought the house down.
