Wonder Woman – Review

Can we all just get up and give DC Comics and most importantly Patty Jenkins (the director of Wonder Woman) a standing ovation already? DC Comics has broken my heart numerous times by doing unsatisfactory productions. Batman Vs Superman and Suicide Squad made me lose trust in the comic powerhouse. I honestly never thought a production could be as amazing as the Batman Trilogy (thank you Christopher Nolan) but things have changed. Heck, even the Rotten Tomatoes rating is off the charts! “Alien:Covenant” Review

I rarely watch scary movies. This is because I am an empath i.e highly sensitive and finely tuned when it comes to emotions. Jump scare scenes can give me a heart attack but I am trying to be a new person so I gave the sci-fi horror movie ‘Alien: Covenant’ a try. (Big thanks to Anga IMAX and Brew Bistro for hosting the early pre-screening of Alien:Covenant and providing an opportunity for me to man up to my fears)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 – Review

Now, this is a movie I was really looking forward to. The first movie three years ago was absolutely hilarious. When the amazing team from IMAX Kenya and ANGA Sky cinemas invited me for the exclusive premiere, how could I say no? I had to watch the Marvel superhero reunion in 3D as soon as possible. Look 5 - 3

Dark skin.

These are a few words I would use to describe myself whenever I looked into the mirror. Not only because I was ‘crazy’, but because people’s daunting insults and jokes ingrained these descriptions deeper into my being every time they were uttered. Continue reading “#FLAWED”

The Distant Relatives Experience (Day two)

Bofa Beach, Kilifi

I enjoyed my second day in Kilifi the most. Having made friends with other people staying at the eco-lodge, we decided to do a lot of activities together that Saturday. I knew it would be a long day so I ensured I had a heavy healthy breakfast to give the start of the day a good kick. Continue reading “The Distant Relatives Experience (Day two)”
